In Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City, Dhanusha, Relative Nepal is implementing ” Empowering Girls, Women, and Persons with Disabilities through Mithila Art and Gender Equality Program” with funding from UNDP Nepal. This innovative project integrates gender equality and social inclusion into livelihood programs, leveraging the rich cultural heritage of Mithila art as a medium for economic empowerment and social change. By promoting Mithila art, the program not only provides a source of income for local women artists but also raises awareness about gender equality and the inclusion of persons with disabilities. This initiative is a testament to Relative Nepal’s holistic approach to community development, combining cultural preservation with economic and social empowerment.
